Who we are

Our mission

Our project is called: European Youth for Environment Socialized (E.Y.E.S.). The international exchange EUROPEAN YOUTH FOR ENVIRONMENT SOCIALIZED takes place in Putten and enables 24 young people from Hungary and Romania to join the Dutch group and have an exciting and creative exchange about a healthy lifestyle in a sustainable environment.

Young people from different parts of the European Union, from different backgrounds, meet in creative, innovative activities to create a sustainable, healthy and social environment. Together using competencies derived from intercultural and entrepreneurial learning activities, they will acquire new competencies and skills

Profile of participants

The 36 participants will come from the Netherlands, Romania and Hungary. From each country there will be 12 participants between 15 and 23 years old with different cultural backgrounds, coming from different types of rural/urbanized areas, with different education levels and wealth of their parents/families

Background

The future of Europe depends on the younger generations, such as those in our target group (16-23 years old). Currently, about 90 million citizens in Europe are between the ages of 16 and 29.

The current unemployment rate of people under the age of 25, especially those without sufficient skills to find a job, is too high in several parts of Europe. We must prepare our young people for their future, in which developments in globalization and climate change will require a modified set of competencies compared to what is needed today
